The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery is delighted to announce that Ms Chloe E. H. Scott, Edinburgh Orthopaedics & University of Edinburgh, UK has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of Bone & Joint Research (BJR) from 1 September 2024.

Ms Scott is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee arthroplasty and lower limb trauma.

At BJR we are excited for this new phase for the Journal. Emma Vodden, Director of Publishing, comments: “I am excited at this appointment for Bone & Joint Research and look forward to working with Chloe to drive the journal forward in this next phase of BJR’s journey. Watch this space as we work to evolve the journal to build on the success of the last 13 years. We will work hard to make BJR the number one choice for pre-clinical research across the musculoskeletal sciences".

Ms Scott says: “I am delighted and excited to start in the role of Editor-in-Chief at BJR. It’s a fabulous opportunity to help drive forward and expand the reach of what is already an important and impactful musculoskeletal science journal”.

BJR (IF 4.7) is owned and published by The British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery, a registered charity (No. 209299). BJR is a gold open access journal that accepts papers across the whole spectrum of the musculoskeletal sciences.
